Accessibility

Allsup Medicare Countdown is built for a wide range of people, including older adults and people with disabilities. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, and accessibility is something we keep working on, not a one-time checkbox.

What we’ve built in

• An adjustable text size control (Standard, Large, Extra Large) on every page
• Large, easy-to-tap buttons and links, sized for touch and for anyone with limited dexterity
• High-contrast color choices, and information that never relies on color alone
• Full keyboard navigation, with a visible focus indicator on every interactive element
• Screen-reader labels on forms, buttons, and images
• Reduced-motion support for anyone sensitive to animation
• Plain, non-technical language throughout, avoiding insurance and medical jargon
• Support for browser zoom up to at least 200% without loss of content or function

Ongoing work

This is a new service, and we haven’t yet completed a formal third-party accessibility audit. If you use assistive technology and run into something that doesn’t work well, we want to know — see below.
